Once more I find myself at Bond Head Bay
Where recently I penned ‘The Waves of Bond Head'
Today, Lake Ontario appears as a gentle giant
Small wavelets softly lapping on the sandy shore
Seagulls playfully bobbing upon the water nearby
Cawing to each other in playful manner
The sky, although promised as a gloriously sunny day
Hosts thin puffy clouds hiding sun's warm rays
This scene in turn reflects on the lake's surface
Giving an appearance of sparkling grey lurex
These are moments of complete tranquility
Moments to relax, appreciate the whole vista
The nearby marina continues to host cradled yachts
Stored safely for winter's dry mooring
Shortly, will start emptying as summer months approach
Once more sailing out to quiet inlets and Lake Ontario
And this, while the small lone white painted lighthouse
Holds guard at marine entrance and Bond Head Bay
Across the expanse of lake, distant horizon has no end
Land beyond hidden behind white opaque swirling mist
Occasionally, clouds above me part, giving glimpse of sun
In those moments, the lake water transforms to bluey green
Trees, dressed in their fresh spring attire light up, glow
Bond Head Creek rivulet glistening, flowing over pebbled bed
Heading into its final destination, the great Lake Ontario
