Bond Of Brothers Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Bond Of Brothers

We all may have had our differences,
But we would put them all aside.
Because there were so many instances,
When any one of us could have died.

We may have had our internal conflicts,
But we knew that there was a job to do.
Over time we had all looked past it,
And there was a certain bond that grew.

We may not have always gotten along,
But we knew we were part of the same fight.
Over time the cohesion made us strong,
And there'd be no stopping our might.

At times the bickering was senseless,
And there were some petty arguments.
But when we came together under stress,
It created a bond that was permanent.

A bond of brothers had been created,
During this stressful time of a war.
And even though the time has faded,
We'd have eachother's backs once more.
