Bonding With Christ Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Bonding With Christ

What barren waste we leave behind
What stench of rot and shame
When light’s received by man first blind
When we accept God’s Flame

The world can’t see nor can she feel
The Spirit of The Lord
His unveiled truth remains unreal
Until the judgement sword

But God, the one and only wise
Reveals the one way out
He’s sent His Son to open eyes
And take away our doubt

Through Christ we hear Salvation’s call
The King, who most reject
But just like Paul, the scales will fall –Ac.9: 18
From all of God’s elect

When with God’s Light we first relate
Through changes formed inside
Our hearts reach out to Heaven’s Gate
Who’s arms are open wide

The Holy Ghost brings joy and peace
Brings love unknown before
Brings life and strength, never to cease
Beyond Salvation’s Door

Despondency will bow it’s head
Despair will shrink from sight
Doubt will decrease till finally dead
Within God’s Liquid Light

Intense; like tightly wound up springs
Like torrents running free
The heart receives a million wings
The world yet fails to see…
