Books Poem by McKenzie Spaulding

Books

Friends come in all shapes and sizes.
Some happen to be rectangular
With words on them.

Books are the ultimate escape.
Oblivious to the monotony of everyday life.
To live in a world, not your own.
One of pure love, fantasy and adventure.

Living vicariously through characters
Who are more brave, beautiful, caring or strong.
Becoming everything you feel you can’t.

Entering a world where any dream is attainable.
