Born In April - Poem by Neal Sigmund

In April while the barren wood
From winter's silent waiting stood
Where frost of night in morning glistens
The quiet man serenely listens
For gentle flowing of the creek
No uttered word was wont to speak
In twitters of the mating bird
And sighing branch he's sought and heard
In blend of creature, wind and water
Whispered voice of man's creator
