Borrowed Sorrow Poem by js. lucius

Borrowed Sorrow

There is a truth one can deny
It doesn't matter how half two try
I've seen the one becoming two
I hear the sword that cuts right through

When angels begin to cry
Take refuge in asking why
They're playing on emotions
As stable as the oceans

I've seen the White Rabbit
But I have not found the whole
I'm drowning in the habit
Selling every ounce of sole

I tried to confide in denial
Although I could never admit
How curious this style
Where definition doesn't exist

When devils begin to lie
Take refuge in your stride
They're playing on emotions
As violent as the oceans

With Borrowed Sorrow
In temporaries tomorrow
Some things never change
Like the beauty of perseverance
In the twinkling of a dying age

All the pain we feel
Life is just a dream
So illusive it's not real
Never as it seemed

In the face of all our trials
We still hold a beating heart
Like the phoenix born in flames
We keep rising through restart
