Borrowed Time Poem by Greg Gaul

Borrowed Time

Rating: 4.5

Time is something we all share,
Asking for yours, I rarely do dare.
To spend it on others is truly a prize,
It takes a lifetime to fully realize.

From where does it all come?
If you've got extra, give away some.
To borrow though seems an oddity,
The world's most precious commodity.

Returning it is an impossible task,
Better not, in the first place, to ask.
Using it wisely is a most worth goal,
Those who waste it, pay life's saddest toll.
