Bosom Friend Poem by Aqib Javid Bhat

Bosom Friend

Rating: 5.0

Burning flames, painting his existence on canvas,
Heart perceiving the pattern with shattered sight,
Refractive errors leaving an imprint of heartache,
Moment by moment, tears racing down the road.
The sun reminds me of thy splendidly luminous soul,
And the starry night sky of thy beautiful heart.
Eyes, gazing at the sky and waiting for the signals,
And, heart making orisons to find thy glimpse.
What is thy locus, my friend? Where are thee?
The absence of thee has left me paralysed.
Thou are my repose, my garden of peace,
Come and heal me with thine ethereal aroma.
Thou are the infinite longing of this sanctuary,
Come, let's learn how to die in this finite forest.
