Bottled Out. Poem by Graham Jones

Bottled Out.

On the darkest of days
And the blackest of nights
I've seen through a bottle
Some astonishing sights

Rats flying like bats
And pink elephants too
Maneating insects
And a hippo or two

But the worst of it all
Comes the following day
When the bottle is empty
And you face a new day

A drinks not the answer
Jus adds to the strife
Its a blanket for comfort
That will smother your life

So go seek a solution
Don't put off or wait
For life is to precious
You can't leave it to late.
