Bougainvilleas Poem by VaishakSeetharam Dattani

Bougainvilleas

Bougainvilleas

They are Flowers coloured white,
The rest say Pale and pink,
Have some thorns though in it,
It's a true beauty see the spark in it.

Roses are famous,
They too are white, red and pink,
Their thorns too hurt so very right,
Though Valentines chose Roses to fight.

Roses are kept in mudpots,
Flowers are plucked when grown,
Bougainvillea grows in soil,
Flowers unplucked, falls down when grown.

Strange and funny people around,
Rose is pricey, the former say cut n thrown,
Bouquet of roses made and sold,
Bougainvillea stays quietly getting old.
