Bound Poem by Mohamed Eid

Bound

Rating: 0.5

I am bound for the sea; your heart in my heart
An ambassador from the garden
Came from the spring and into the wind:
I will dissolve!

I came to sing and pluck the strings of your heart
Hyacinths lying on the wings of yellow birds?
Broken hearts in a jar!

I am bound for the warmth
In the folds of your skin, in the winter
On a night whose cold is piercing like this…

I am bound for your eyes
I am persistent
I want to take you there!
