Bound Poem by Shalyn Stachmus

Bound

Where is the glue, that binds us all together?
It's in our souls, so we can rise forever.

Until we glow, our torches light the way.
Until it's known that we can guide the strays.

Where is the truth, that binds us all together?
We are so close, to rising up forever.

Until we sow our seeds of liberty.
Then we will know, that's how it's supposed to be.

Where is the glue, that binds us all together?
It's in our souls, so we will rise forever.

Until you know, that we are all still here.
Who is the man, that brought us all together?
He is us; As one, we're rising up forever.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Kind of a little anthem inspired by someone who ran for president in 2012 and I really liked his message. Had he been elected, things would be much different. (Original/Revised: 5-20-12)
