Bound To Fall Poem by Zubayer Zakir Khan

Bound To Fall

Beauty fades; indeed the truth is that charm only stays
Girl you better save the best for the last,
You better change your ways
Graceful lady you got to understand
You can provide what they all demand
Trust me in the end it ain't worth it at all
Girl, the higher you fly the harder you fall

When you go on blowing your smokes in the air
You better know it the rules of the game ain't fair
Whatever glamorous you see all around you nothing is going to stay
Someday when the glitz and glam will eat you up,
You'll end up losing yourself along the way

Ashes of time will fly around the place
you'll sit and wonder in your own disgrace
You tried too hard to win hearts just to fit into this game
Right till the end from the very start, all you earned is a bad name

You lend a deaf ear, to life's wake-up call
Time is the only distance between you and your fall
Time makes you stumble,
Time makes you humble,
Time makes you do it all,
Time makes you rise and only in time
You're bound to fall
