Zubayer Zakir Khan Poems

They all speak out their mind
Assuming all that ain't really so
Words of wisdom at me they all just throw
I ain't naive; just in case you all did not know
...

Amidst the language of silence
So much is left, unsaid
Love has lost its importance
And poetry is simply dead
...

Maybe we should just quietly, walk away

I guess silence has finally got, something to say
...

We've traveled so far,
Only to reach nowhere,
We stepped out of the car,
We thought we got there
...

Oh, are we inclined?
Tell me, did we succeed?
Tell me, what did we find?
We came back, with all the things,
...

You chose to draw the line
And look where we landed
We had a pocket of full of sunshine
Yet, we came back
...

Ever wondered why sometimes silence?
It hits you harder than words
Well have you ever tried?
To listen to the sounds that echo in the air
...

As far as poetry is concerned
He is way past his prime,
He owes much more,
Than what he has earned
...

The light at the end of the tunnel
Is of an oncoming train
Clouds unload too soon,
And Before I know it
...

Beauty fades; indeed the truth is that charm only stays
Girl you better save the best for the last,
You better change your ways
Graceful lady you got to understand
...

Modern times,
People are sure lost,
In the timeline of Facebook
In times like these,
...

Although my words diffuse out of your mind
They float like castles in the air,
That we never seem to find
...

The nervous man bites his nails,
Proud man shares his heroic tails,
Helpless man always has a reason
Weather man knows every season
...

He said to her,
"Oh darling, I'll forever hold you tight; and my touch shall always be tender"
She said,
"Darling, I'm like the night & you're the wind to which I will surrender"
...

You got to be superstitious,
Things are not always what they appear to be
Step into the world of subconscious
Try to look beyond what the eyes see
...

Didn't you know?
Understanding is a two way street
It's the place where you and I
We used to meet
...

Confessions Of A Confused Mind

They all speak out their mind
Assuming all that ain't really so
Words of wisdom at me they all just throw
I ain't naive; just in case you all did not know

Why don't you all get busy while I free fall?
I really don't regret anything at all
I know when the going gets tough
The tough gets going too
Wild horses ain't wild enough
To hold me back from finding my way through

You all want to know what I'm all about?
Well, so do I; I'm yet to figure myself out
I'm sticking to myself, just being me
Good, bad, & ugly you'll get whatever you wish to see

There are things you all don't know
Sides of me which I refuse to show
Once I find my own peace of mind
I'll share with you,
All the beautiful things I find,
I'll tell you all that I know

Secrets that only words can conceal
At times, when I feel I've lost the touch
Skeletons in my shelf, I'm shy to reveal
Guess, I'll put it this way, I don't know much
I don't even know if it sounds alright,
At times words are the hardest thing to find
Well it is never supposed to sound all so right
The confessions of a confused mind
