Boyhood Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Boyhood

Boyhood

Mason, Sam, in movie
And tears in my eyes
Should see me in cursing
I swore; addressed you
For our kids, not for me

I sat as if a hen on the eggs
Watched movie; marching they
I kept on cursing you
Lad looked like our young son
I'm talking of Puya

Shame on you; shame on you
You claim being mom
It's not so; you are dumb
Of their joys they're deprived,
For your sake; yes, they; all

Shame on you, shame on you
As their mom you're nothing
But burden, leashed them tight
All of them are deprived
You've made them feel obliged

Shame on you, shame on you
Freedom is torn out
You are old and the pain
They're mules; your horses
You need them to give ride

How can you
How can you in their lives
Have claim for their love
Narcissist, egoist and selfish
What are you but word 'I'?
