Boys Were Flying The Kites Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

Boys Were Flying The Kites

It was a beautiful afternoon in the spring
The boys were flying the kites,
in the middle of the street,
right in front of my house.

The day was cool, and the sun was hot and brightful
The wind was strong, there were lots of clouds above.
A man was selling baked corn to the kids around,
While the birds were singing their last song at the sunset.

It was a beautiful afternoon in the spring,
The boys were flying their kites,
in the middle of the street,
right in front of my house.
I got very attracted by that nice view,
lots of kites flying on the sky,
But my thoughts were vague and lost.
