Brand New Day Poem by Caryl Morgan

You had a bad day at school one day
Feeling alone and sad
Like there's nothing to live for
or life itself is not worth living
Tension is building up inside of you

A friend comes over to see
if you're ok
you say
''yeah i'm ok'' - when really.. you're not
Your friend says
''Ok well i'm here if you need anyone''
But you don't wanna know
because you know nothing's gunna get better...

But trust me...
things do get better
There's always a brand new day
when everything turns back
to the way it was
when you were really happy
And felt like you belonged somewhere
(And I know this
because I've been through those times
- you're not alone)
But things work out in the end!
