You were our guiding light
Throughout our days and nights
From infancy to adulthood
You guided us aright

You taught us to be brave
And face the world we crave,
From birth down to the grave
You were always with us.

Through trials and troubles,
Through joy and pain,
You laughed with us, you cried
And felt our pain

And counselled us too
Without you
Our lives won't be the same
Our world was rent in twain


When you were called, and left us
We miss you so already
You taught us to hold steady

Ready when we are called
On that great day
We only hope and pray
We'll be together again on the day

When the Lord
Our God shall call us,
Love will always remain
