Breaking Free Poem by Paul Anthony Scott

Breaking Free

I'm the first to say 'don't dwell
can't alter yesterday, it's gone'
You're the one that helps me change
break the chrysalis - spread my wings

I will emerge a stronger man
I'm going to find out who I am
My re-birth has started now
break the chains and spread my wings

It's not what I can't be
that makes the man you see
It's the things that make me, 'ME'
Breaking loose and flying free
