If you ever wanted silver then I always gave you gold.
If you ever needed comfort then I was there to hold.
If you ever asked for flowers, I would buy you a bouquet.
If you asked to cash tomorrow, I would give it you today.

Through the hardship,
Through the toil,
When you asked for all these things
I would never, never, never say no.
You asked me why I never wanted you,
and I said
“I need nothing but you”

I don’t need fast cars.
I don’t need fast love.
I need nothing but you.
I don’t need big gifts.
I don’t need big girls.
I need nothing but you.
