Breaking Me Down Poem by Chris O'Keeffe

Breaking Me Down

These thoughts that tear into the depths of my mind.
Your words your face your smile holds me in a bind.
I find myself choking on my own words as they come out.
This feeling is so real, i have never had so much doubt.
I fight to express what it is you truly mean to me.
I struggle each day to find someway to make you see.
Suppressing these feelings so strong for so long.
You and i both know why they dont belong.
You play dumb try to evade what im feeling.
But we both know you know the pain your dealing.
in this little game you are the queen without her crown.
And holding onto it is slowly breaking me down.

Hmmm...This sounds like a personal one. I sort of felt intrusive reading it..: -) Are you sure that this is a game...perhaps the other person has true feelings for you, yet there may be barriers in the way? Very thought provoking. You give the reader some of the story, but leave us wondering also. Well done! hugs, Dee
