Breaking News from Eden
Those who run the world will soon be leaving.
It's fact young nerve in crucial skills is lacking.
So not all will lead in the new world of daring,
But he that's preparing and she who is learning.
For now, the seasoned must still hold sway.
The planet's outlook is too grave to give way.
They do big things yet often err or go astray.
Please let generation next inherit less disarray.
This world's in a twirl and plagued by great plights.
Not just in nature and nations, even ethics in blight.
Our numbers just burgeon our food is in flight.
What's great in predicting if no answer's in sight?
Are we best when unruly, arrogant and driven?
Is greatness scarce because calm minds are hidden?
Will peace always bypass; are we lawless ridden?
Or is it because we've eaten from the tree forbidden?
