Breakthrough Poem by Midifo Yearns

Breakthrough

Work load far beyond their size.
Burdens weigh heavily.
Persistence perseveres
in common task.
It must be done. It will be done.
No incline or descent, will still the pace.
Watch and learn. Don’t give up.
Professor Ant is at the podium.

I wandered off to other class
Saw spider weave a web
Without a scroll of plans
Unless they were in his head.
But as I watched, I wondered
Why I can sometimes get
So caught up in the
Webs of life
That I somehow
Lose my head.
Or trapped I get, and
Then I scream for help.

This spider seems to know.
He looks, appears to say:
When you are weaving through
Your life, be sure
In truth to stay.
For the plans are deeply
Written. They’re spoken
In your heart.
So when you get in trouble
Just stop
Look deep,
And then
Restart.
