Bright Word Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Bright Word

Today there arrived a bright word,
It's meaning elusive was.
This word walked back then forward,
In a strange walk but dance!

I triesd to outddance it,
In my head so busy.
It tried to out walk it,
But that did make me dizzy.

I soon truly began to wonder,
If this was completely silly.
Well, 'this seems awkward to you, huh? '
Said the bright word to me.

Haven't you heard of a word called love,
To be a bright word?
So then it occurred to me that was, I
The silly, my OWN bright word,

Who I had not been patient to figure out,
To know not my own self,
So to not know my own bright word.
