Brimborion Poem by Peter Strugnell

Brimborion

There's a place I go to, when the going gets tough,
when it's all too much, and I've had enough,
it's an escape, it's a state of mind,
I face the sun and I leave it all behind.

It's here that I can never feel alone,
nothing can touch me, in this protection zone,
I've been going there, since I was quite young,
I hear the music playing, down in Brimborion.

Brimborion, Brimborion, and the feeling grows,
I feel the vibes from my head to my toes,
No one can deny it, these are the signs,
open the doors wide, to the good times.

It doesn't bend to convention, or follow no rules,
there's no peer pressure, and there are no schools,
it's a place to go to, to rise above it all,
makes you feel big, when you're feeling small.

Mama used to say, many years ago,
you're wasting your life away, don't you know?
Out all night, I'd return with the morning sun
and where the hell had I been? down to Brimborion.

Brimborion, Brimborion, and the feeling grows,
I feel the vibes from my head to my toes,
No one can deny it, these are the signs,
open the doors wide, to the good times.
