Broken And Alone - Poem by Ocean Myranda

I am broken and alone,
I wonder why this happened to me,
I hear people talk, but hear no words,
I see the happiness slip from my fingers,
I want freedom from my past,
I am broken and alone.

I pretend I’m something I’m not,
I feel love drain from my veins,
I touch the scars deep within,
I worry about showing my true feelings,
I cry myself to sleep,
I am broken and alone.

I understand what many people don’t,
I say, “I want to die” when I’m depressed,
I dream of love, happiness, and freedom,
I try to hide the depressing side,
I hope to find what I’m looking for,
I am broken and alone.
