Broken Dove Poem by Jessica Taylor Roux

Broken Dove

Rating: 5.0

The morning sun awakens me
Next to my sweet destiny.
A beautiful man covered with love
from a half-way broken dove.
He arises-unaware-
of the tears that were never shared.
An unspoken word resounds
from a bond that should be bound.
The dove's song can never be heard.
Amongst the pride and secrets he'll never purge.
An unsung song for how long?
She'll bite her tongue and continue on
For her love is that strong.
