I was sitting at the porch, It was the month of May
I saw a woman her arms around my Daddy
I don’t need to ask who would she be
Dad’s smile tells me She’s replacing Mommy
Dad wrote to Mom before saying “I found someone”
Mom answered back “I can also find a new one”
It’s been eight years now since Mom left us
I made myself believe she’s not coming back
It’s hard to be a product of a broken family
But that’s how life goes, who am I to disagree
I never saw my Dad so happy and free
That woman beside him seems to love him eternally
My little brod and sis look at me sadly
I took them in my arms and hold them tenderly
Don’t worry kids…You still have me
I’ll do everything no matter how hard it could be
I finally decided to take my siblings with me
To give Dad a chance to build a new family
It would not be easy but I should not worry
With my faith and courage…We walk away
