Broken Heart Poem by Michael Sisemore

Broken Heart

You were my everything
Now your just gone
Leaving me broken and hurt
Will I ever survive?

I'm as good as the useless dirt
Living on this earth
You ripped out my heart
I didn't see it coming

It's to late
I screwed it up
You'll never forgive me
For what I've done

I cry as the rain falls
Feels like I'm living in a river
And it's all cause of me
For messing with the water dam

I'm drowning in my own mess
My heart is gone, broken as glass
Little pieces everywhere
All the king's men, can't fix this

It's all my fault
For playing around
You were all I had
And I played with it

Now I'm broken and hurt
Please rain, go away
Along with my tears
I want to be dry

But I'm drowning
It's all cause of me
Please have the waterfall go away
One more blow, will be my last

Do you forgive me?
I learned my lesson
So let me back in
To be dry

Eyes bloodshot
Sore from weeping
Let my sorrow go
Give me back my heart

For I know what I'd done wrong
I messed around
Like some fun game
It's at the end
No where to move
Drowning
It's checkmate

Please forgive me
I see the lights
As you closed the door.
