Broken jars of sleep Poem by Kobus Moolman

Broken jars of sleep

Rating: 3.5

Broken jars of sleep.

The expensive shadow a mouth carries
between bedrooms.

Seven waves.

A mule dragging a cold wind
over ice.

Two silences: one
outside the entrance to the past,
the other deep within.
