Broken Trumpet Poem by B. Sven Telander

Broken Trumpet

Gabriel’s impact arches
Starward,
earthbound,

explosions of revelation,
rush of a god;
howling reprise, naked wars

heaven skull stings
yellow human mice,
cultish deluge blossoms,
consumes, surprises:

drum excesses, quicksand salvation,
a lush mode of alpha jokes
and omega riddles;

elders of light flag
damned princes in wailing
whispers, transfers through

a carnival of lies;
repeating clashes, millennia scarred,
journeys delayed via difference in myth,
obliteration six more times;

the earth is caught on a silver vast fork.
Who is eating whom for communion?
