This one hits the heart and soul straight away. As Alison says your words are not complicated but they deliver a message that soldiers can not expect to come back. I have also heard that those who do are never the same. Your work is thoughtful, and well written as usual. 10 Karin Anderson

David, your poetry is always easy to understand and direct in its message. This one is no exception - a poignant reminder of the terror of the unknown and the awfulness of war. I only thank God that in this life I have been spared the experience of seeing my sons in uniform. When I think about my grandmother's generation opening their telegrams of 'I regret...' I am filled with sorrow and disgust. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
