Buddha Killed Tamils! Poem by Veeraiyah Subbulakshmi

O kind Buddha! we saw you there in battlefield,
where final war enacted with perfect star shells,
poured on innocent people of Tamil origin,
was your thirst quenched enough for ever

O Mighty Buddha! we witnessed your tight fist,
that choked our brothers and sisters slender throats,
rain of fire flowed on freshly grown paddy fields,
where our brothers and sisters laid to be counted

O Powerful Buddha! you are a man of great virtues,
abandoning your wife in the middle of pitch dark night,
blown the head of a man of great valor and love.
with single shot to spill out his great Tamil Brain.

eleven years passed with tears welling from eyes,
thousands snatched and vanished from our sight,
where they are, no one knows until this minute,
O scavenging Buddha! please tell us the truth

mothers who have lost their sons and daughters
human who have lost their much needed better half,
children who have lost their loving parents and grands,
still waiting with hands folded with great hope of life.
