Buffet Poem by jasmine ellis

Buffet

a long line of servings
i take a little of each
some more than others
some i cant reach
i take what i can handle
i take what seems to be to much
i keep in touch
with all i have taken
alll that stays with me
it wants me
it wants to be with me
all of it can sink to the
lowest of lows
knife and forks in rows
read to be used
ready to abuse
not to be accused
of doing the wrong
ive been at this buffet line too long
let me get out of this line
let me take and keep whats mine
not good enough to dine
in and out of choices
things come and go roughly
in this buffet line my food is touching
