Buildinng Writing Confidence Poem by Jaycee Wilkerson

Buildinng Writing Confidence

When I started writing
I was unguided
Just rhyming
No thought process
Just timing

Every word
Was in place
Like a perfect diamond
Now when my thoughts
People say that Im shining

less rhyming
More rhymth
Now I can
Write the blues
If I chose

A little cocky
Because
Im a real man
That makes
It easier to stand

And fully open up
And say whats
On my mind

Publicly not
A good speaker
But if you listen to
The words I write
A little deeper
You will hear
The message
And forget about
The speaker

Flowing fluently
Congruent running
With my thoughts
Adjacently connected
To my feelings

Provides me
With the knowledge
To write stacks of poetry
To the highest ceiling
