Bull Rider Poem by Bill Simmons

Bull Rider

Rating: 3.9

He climbs in the chute
Climbs upon his back
With one hand he gets his hold
The other pulls down his hat

He can see the crowd
As he makes sure his rope
With one hand high in the air
He nods let him go

They open wide the gate
The bull he hesitates
Then all at once all hell breaks loose
The bull's name is 'Just Can't Wait'

The bull he see's he's out
And at two thousand pounds
High in the air he jumps and spins
Shakes the earth when he comes down

The cowboy holds on
Just Wait's mad and mean
Hang on cowboy with all you've got
This ride cowboy ain't free

Such is the way
Of a cowboys rodeo
The cowboy thinks he's in charge
But that bull will let him know.
