Bunker Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Bunker

Bunker

Want to be Columbus
Settling in a boat with crew
Have them row; row, row, row!
Persian Gulf is destined
-with the things I have seen
-the city to the north
-Name-changes time to time
-of old days of Darius
-Commander, Silacus,
-embarking to Red Sea
-to attack old Greece
-and reverse…Alexander
-attacking Hormirzad
-also names Gemeron, Gamberon
-pacing to Cameron

There I was arrested
-a total corruption
-hands were kissed by handcuffs
-thanks to the government
-and liars at the helm and in charge

Faced insults and the lies
-was questioned, forbidden
-not allowed to do write
-finally I ended in bunker
-for sewage with people…
-but as our prison…
-criminals…innocents

Wrote too much in Farsi…
-to avoid ugly scenes
-tons of words in notebooks
-scratched on papers
-most of them crumbled…
-and in times smuggled

I anger easily and go mad
-when thinking I get sad
-want to fight but I can't…
-I am sun of the dusk with no time!
