Burning Desire Poem by Amanda Bristow

Burning Desire

Want to know what I think about,
Every morning when I wake,
Every afternoon,
Every evening while lying in bed,
And at night in my dreams.

Well, I close my eyes,
My thoughts drift away to you,
You’re all I think about,
My desire increases
My hunger intensifies,
To be with you.

I LOVE You so much,
Without you I can‘t breath,
I wish I could give you the riches of the world,
But, these riches could never add up to,
All the love I have inside.

I desire to love you in a way,
You’ve never experienced,
Please, give me the chance,
To share all this love
I have to give.

I long to be your,
Best friend,
Lover,
And life partner,
Until death do us part.

You have acquired my,
Heart, body, and soul,
The very essence of my being,
Is completely yours.

I don’t know how to prove,
My love is real,
There are no, if’s, ands, or buts,
I WANT you,
You are my burning desire!
