But I'm Free Poem by Zara O

But I'm Free

If I were you
I'd open my eyes
And look deep inside
Look past all the lies

If I were you
I'd look at my side
And see who resides
For ego and pride

If I were you
I'd be tempted to change
To question my ways
To stop dodging blame

If I were you
I'd realise it's done
I'd realised it's over
I'd realise none won

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Looking back and thinking what you'd have done, what you'd wished they had, but it's all past tense because it's easier to be free of it
