But Never My Word Poem by Cat Hodgson

But Never My Word

But Never My Word

The old earth groans with age
Prediction cry to be unleashed
God holds back with His hand
Calamity barks to be loosed

God remembers his promise
That all might hear of His grace
He calls those to his work
It is hard to find willing vessels

But like scripture foretold
There is some that answer
The work changes lives
It is all done for love

Holding the aged earth together
While building a new place
Puts a smile on his face
Sadness because more won't come

Can you feel the strain
The white horse nasals flares
The angel draws a sword
Gods voice says not yet

Soon I will mount and claim
Them to me that know me
Then the earth shall have her own
Heaven and Earth shall pass

But never my word

Matthew 5: 18
