I love you
I whisper that to you every night
as you sleep with me
as you hold me while i cry
my heart beats not but on beat
my eyes cry not but one tear
my lips speak nothing but the truth
my wounds are healing
you have opened my heart
and placed it with yours
now they beat but one thump
together.

the connection will never be torn
