But Why? Poem by Titus Keya Omwaka

But Why?

I cannot fall for your lies
What you did was not wise
I had the way and the will
Your thoughts were ill
But why?

Our role to that life would be seminal
What you did was criminal
Nightmares won't cease
His death deprive me peace
But why?

Now you want to carry my child again
That statement gives me pain
From you I always refrain
You're such a villain
But why?

Your sweet words won't justify your heinous act
Even though you claim it will be sacrosanct
You forfeited a chance to be a mother
Deprived me the privilege of being a father
But why?

Getting closer to you I will not try
Because you have always made me cry
You destroyed my flesh and blood
Tears have made my vision blurred
But why?
