Butterflies Poem by Basith Mohammed

Butterflies

Butterflies
By Basith Mohammed – June 15,2010

Flapping wings of magnificent colors
Dots of white, black, green and gold
Yellow, red, blue, pink and more
Beautiful creatures we all behold.

Elusive flight with fragile wings
Graceful flight with remarkable ease
Through swaying flowers and green trees
Flying with a bird that sings.

Flowers in bloom
The violets, tulips, and the rose
Give abode to the flying colors…what a sight
Nature’s canvas, a painters delight.
