I've always been told not to ask why
About things that bring tears to my eyes
To always have trust and faith in you
That you'd show me how to pull through
I know that my problems are part of the test
And that I am suppose to deal with them to the best
Of my ability, but Lord sometimes that's hard to do
There are times that I forget to turn to you
I want to say thanks for always being there
I know that no matter what I do you will always care
I know that you always hear me when I pray
And you'll answer my prayer in a special way
My faith in you I'll never hide
Lord please don't ever leave my side
The only thing you ask me to do
Is to trust and have faith in you
There are times from you that I did stray
But you were always there, you never turned your head away
Lord, please tell me what I need to do
So I can walk side by side with you.
