By No Means (From, Rhythmicon - 50 Lead Sheets With Poems) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

By No Means (From, Rhythmicon - 50 Lead Sheets With Poems)

By no means
Is this a lonely tune,
By no means
In this afternoon;
Everything has been done
Probably written and said too,
All the gestures here gone
Now it's entirely through.

By no means
And no short of immune,
By no means
Rather like a buffoon;
All's sweet in the hours now
As the day is going out,
We will manage somehow
To write what this's all about.

By no means
The end of the story,
By no means
Another accusatory;
Say just what you like and feel
The rest comes naturally,
Turning up the writer's wheel
What you want to say or be.
