By Willow's Shade Sitting... Poem by Mohammad Younus

By Willow's Shade Sitting...

By willow's shade sitting...
...in shadows of the evening...
...the old boatman looking...
...on the ripples in the Dal Lake;
With heavy red eyes down...
...to himself murmuring:
The edges of day and night...
... now meeting;
All actions stopping;
The fish heart swimming;
The moon - bright appearing;
The breeze pure and cool blowing;
The stars countless twinkling;
Alone to the timeless am speaking!
How could man be ever ending!
When his life roots are in the Everliving!
