Bye Buy! Poem by Sumita Jetley

Bye Buy!

In a town where the streets buzzed bright,
Meera's bookstore was a quiet delight.
Books in Hindi, English, old and new,
A space where warmth and trust grew.

But one day, the city's noise crept in,
"Push for sales, Meera, that's how you win."
Posters screamed, "Buy Now! Don't wait! "
But with every sale, trust became faint.

Her loyal customer, with chai in hand,
Asked, "Meera, where's that warmth we planned? "
Realizing her loss, she pulled back the sale,
Trust was the boat, not a hurried sail.

Now, her store thrives with chats and tea,
For in relationships, true success will be.
Meera learned that in this land so dear,
People want trust, not just profit near.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In India, where relationships are your greatest asset, this story is a reminder: Success is not about treating people as transactions; it's about nurturing trust. When Meera started pushing for sales, her store lost its soul. But when she returned to fostering real connections, the magic came back. Her customers didn't just return—they stayed, because trust had found its way home. For Sufis, the story resonates on a spiritual level. It speaks to patience, inner wisdom, and love. Rushing after worldly gains empties the heart, but when we honor relationships with care, the soul is filled with abundance.
