Here we are by the riverside
Peering onto the onlookers passing by
The apple bites as cider is sipped
A bystander kicks the pint that was tipped
Into the river so as to relinquish
This act mishandled by a punters prior wish
To drink away the pain of sobriety
Enter a spell of dizziness
Where judgment needed no propriety
Oblivious, shocked were onlookers in silence stiff
As he fell then rose from the frozen water beneath
Then continued to sow in drink a plenty
Overshadowing the rapture current amidst the merry
Like cheerleaders oblivious to the crowd many
All began to chant the herald of his fall
Boldly lying in voicing a concern
Pull the drunk from out of the pool
Rippled with the extent of such Ernst
