A Vision Of Godliness Poem by Matt Western

A Vision Of Godliness

Rating: 4.5

Like a reflection from a candescent window pane
Protestant in marking the turquoise taint
Masking of pain, coincidental shame
Of a bewildered girl evoking the pain

In order to invoke new light, new promise
Cordon the rites to incite loves homage
To the muse of the dolphin call
To which her sense may be enthralled
Never overruled by concordant fools
Immersed in principle tyrannical

That truth that lends us a hand in bending the rules
Extending the libel that stems in us all

Yet her interstellar makeup of which she is composed
Shall not pose a threat for the enigma of this foe
A transitory breakdown poised to threaten her prose
The natural ebb and flow in her control alone
Longevity that sows whilst in the know
As she meditates in all things that may grow
The seed, the flower, the mountain and meadow
The need to empower like the fountain devours
Through the bedrock where rain turns to shower
Wowing the stranger and mystic adventurer
To cower in face of the Godly empowered

A well articulated piece of poetry, nicely penned in heightened poetic diction with spiritual insight. Lovely poem written with conviction. Thanks for sharing Matt. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
