Cabaret Dancer Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Cabaret Dancer

Cabaret dancer, you dancing
With a beer bottle
Or a tumbler
With pearly wine
Into the hands of yours.

And on seeing you, people shouting,
You thrilling the body,
Semi-nude and Western,
Smiling and dancing
Marking the sentiment of the people.

The stage is set for,
The lights colourful and flashing
And your dress too sparkling
With the embroidery,
You making the people drink.

On seeing you, I want to ask
If your life a cabaret dance,
A theatre of the opera,
Cabaret dancer,
Dancing under inebriation or not?
